Creating your own RT66.GRP file if you purchased the GoG.com version of Redneck Rampage: 1) If you do not already have a .GRP editor, download one. I recommend Jonah Bishop's Group File Studio available for download from http://wiki.eduke32.com/wiki/Utilities 2) Create an empty folder to copy/move all the necessary files you will need so that things will be easier to look at. 3) Navigate to your Redneck Rampage GoG.com folder, probably "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Redneck Rampage Collection\Redneck Rampage\" 4) Go ahead and copy all of the .MAP files (14 total) out of the ROUTE66 subfolder and place them in your new empty folder. We will come back to these. 5) Go back to the Redneck Rampage (one level above the ROUTE66 folder) and copy the following files into your new empty folder that you just copied all the .MAP files into: END66.ANM TURD66.ANM TILESA66.ART TILESB66.ART BUBBA66.CON DEFS66.CON GAME66.CON GATOR66.CON PIG66.CON USER66.CON PALETTE.DAT END66.VOC G_BITE.VOC G_SIT.VOC NEON.VOC TURD66.VOC 6) We are now going to be working soley in the folder we created earlier. It should now contain 30 files total. 7) Rename TILESA66.ART to TILES024.ART and TILESB66.ART to TILES025.ART 8) Rename every map file! START.MAP -----> E1L1.MAP CARNIVAL.MAP --> E1L2.MAP TRUCKSTP.MAP --> E1L3.MAP BREWERY.MAP ---> E1L4.MAP FLEA.MAP ------> E1L5.MAP SLAUGHTER.MAP -> E1L6.MAP MINIGOLF.MAP --> E1L7.MAP GAS.MAP -------> E2L1.MAP RANCH.MAP -----> E2L2.MAP COFFIN.MAP ----> E2L3.MAP CAMPY.MAP -----> E2L4.MAP BIGFOOT.MAP ---> E2L5.MAP HOOVERDAM.MAP -> E2L6.MAP ALIEN.MAP -----> E2L7.MAP 9) Open your .GRP editing program and create a .GRP with all 30 files from the folder we created. Name it RT66.GRP 10) Place RT66.GRP we just created into your ROUTE66 folder in your Erampage installation folder, and voila! We are done! ============================= Credits: Everyone involved with the Erampage project for making this. Thanks! Jon Hunt (who also worked on Erampage) but especially for communicating with me about the .GRP file structure and for his website http://jonhunt.com/redneck/ so I could reference the Route 66 walkthrough so I could see which map name needed to be renamed to what! Myself, Harrison Wallace (http://www.hobblinharry.com). Just an old video game enthusiast who wanted the GoG.com version of Redneck Rampage to work with Erampage!
